This creation spiralled out of a
long but not forgotten era where global dance music
emerged and exploded within the underground club scene
and brought along exotic and visionary club events such
as Whirl-Y-Gig and Megadog. This gave me an outlet to
enjoy the music I loved in an environment that I loved.
Whilst developing a taste for this new and exciting
sound, I had equally been interested in the psychedelic
indie scene occurring in the late eighties with bands
like The Cure, Primal Scream and Levitation. As the
dance scene began to dominate through the nineties, I
decided to launch my first solo project encompassing
every style that was an inspiration to me. Past to
present influences now include electronica pioneers like
The Orb, Banco De Gaia and Leftfield, these can be heard
echoing within my current musical productions.
As well as the musical influences,
I sought further innovations and decided to travel and
see parts of the world I had always dreamed of..
Journeying to India, Africa and Europe, where a lot of
my worldly sounds came from and inspired the global
world-beat affair that is heard on ‘Between Worlds’.
Mixed with my missed spent youth as a secret raver and a
rock drummer, I was able to piece this all together to
create what you now hear in my recordings. The rest is
in the making…
